The Drones - Wait Long by the River and the Bodies of Your Enemies Will Float By (2005)

Amazing Australian rock record from a few years back. Sets the scene for the next couple of albums, contains "Shark Fin Blues", which for me at least is their crowning achievement. Acclaimed overseas they still have yet to find the recognition they deserve in their homeland.

RYM - 3.75/5

Japandroids - Post-Nothing (2009)

This is my fave release of 09 thus far. A mix of noisy fuzz rock that never looses it's sense of melody, unlike other recent fuzzy releases (see last years piece of shit times new viking record). Check it out.
